MPortal takes the prompt you type, works out which AI model answers it best for the money, and forwards it. You are paying us for the routing, the forwarding and the receipt — the answer itself is produced by a third-party model. Most of what follows falls out of that one sentence.
MPortal is operated by Minott Technologies, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
Minott Technologies, LLCBy creating an account, signing in, or using MPortal, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
MPortal is a router. For each request it classifies the task, compares models on published benchmark data and live per-token pricing, picks one, forwards your prompt to that model through a provider aggregator, and returns the response with an itemised cost.
This is the section worth reading twice, because MPortal does not bill like a flat subscription.
Paid plans have a monthly base fee and usage billed at what the model actually cost us, multiplied by that plan's markup. The markup is shown on the pricing page and on every receipt. A quiet month costs less than a busy one, and a heavy month can cost more than a flat-rate subscription elsewhere. We would rather say that here than surprise you.
You set a weekly budget; each plan also has its own weekly ceiling. MPortal will not spend past whichever is lower. As you approach it, routing shifts toward cheaper models to stretch what is left; when it is reached, requests are refused until the next week rather than billed. Budgets run on ISO calendar weeks and are enforced before each request is sent, not after.
The figure shown before a request is sent is an estimate based on our own token counting. The amount charged is based on the usage the provider actually reports. These are usually close and are not always identical. The receipt always shows what was actually charged.
Metered usage is not refundable once a request has been answered: the cost was incurred with the model provider on your behalf. If you are charged a base fee for a period you did not use, or you believe something has been billed in error, write to contact@minott.tech within 30 days and we will look at it properly. Statutory refund rights, where they apply to you, are not affected by anything in this section.
We may change base fees, markups or plan limits. For an increase affecting an existing paid plan we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, so you can cancel first. Per-token model prices are set by the model providers, not by us; those move on their own, which is exactly why usage is billed at cost plus a stated markup rather than guessed at in advance.
Your prompts are forwarded to third-party model providers, so their rules become your rules. Do not use MPortal to:
We do not read your prompts routinely. We do act on reports, on provider notices, and on what is necessary to investigate abuse or billing problems.
If you connect Microsoft 365, you can ask MPortal to create a document, add a calendar event or make a folder in your own account. Three things govern that, and they are commitments rather than descriptions:
Google Drive is read-only. If you connect Google Drive, MPortal can open the files you pick in Google’s own picker window and nothing else — it cannot list, browse or search your Drive, and it does not create, change or delete anything there.
You can disconnect either service at any time from Account → Connected services, and revoke it at Microsoft or Google as well. Once disconnected, MPortal can no longer reach your files at all.
On plans where it is available, MPortal can generate a short video clip from your description. It is charged per second of video, at rates that are many times an ordinary text request — the plan page and the refusal message state the price before anything is spent, and MPortal will not produce a single clip costing more than its fixed per-clip ceiling.
Nothing MPortal returns is legal, medical, financial, tax or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified person. Do not use it to make decisions where an error would be dangerous or expensive without a human checking the answer. Live web search, where your plan includes it, improves currency — it does not guarantee accuracy.
MPortal is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not offer an uptime guarantee. The service depends on providers we do not control, and their outages become ours. We may change, suspend or discontinue features; for anything that materially reduces what a paid plan gets, we will email account holders.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 5, that repeatedly fails payment, or where we are required to by a provider or by law. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first. Serious cases — particularly anything involving harm to children — are acted on immediately.
You may stop using MPortal at any time. Deleting your account is described in section 3.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MPortal is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minott Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of MPortal. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to cover Minott Technologies against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of MPortal in breach of these terms, or from content you submitted that you did not have the right to submit.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else — in which case that right is not affected.
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows when. For a material change — anything affecting price, billing, your rights, or what you are allowed to do — we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand rather than rely on you noticing. Continuing to use MPortal after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, cancel before then.
Questions about these terms, a bill, or anything else go to contact@minott.tech, or through the Help screen inside MPortal — a person reads both.
